Please join IPTLA as they host a discussion with Deputy Director Bill Griffin of the Office of Enrollment and Disciplne at the US Patent and Trademark Office and Director John White of Patent Professional Development at PLI.

When: Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 12:15-1:10pm in Room 152 (Pizza will be served)

Deputy Director Griffin will discuss the America Invents Act as well as career opportunities with the USPTO. Director John White will discuss patent practice and the patent bar.

Ramesh Ponnuru is a senior editor for National Review and a columnist for Bloomberg View. Ponnuru grew up in Kansas City and graduated summa cum laude from Princeton’s history department. Ponnuru has published articles in numerous newspapers including the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the Financial TimesNewsday, and the New York Post. He has also written for First ThingsPolicy ReviewThe Weekly StandardThe New Republic,Reason, and other publications. He has appeared on numerous televisionnews programs. He is the author of The Party of Death: The Democrats, the Media, the Courts, and the Disregard for Human Life. He is also the author of the monograph The Mystery of Japanese Growth (American Enterprise Institute/Centre for Policy Studies). He has been a fellow at the Institute of Economic Affairs in London and a media fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.
