The Akron Law Alumni Association Presents: A Brown Bag Lunch Career Conversation
This casual, “brown bag” lunch will take place Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 12:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Food will be served, Jimmy John’s.
This event is intended to bring together students and practicing attorneys to allow law students to learn more about the profession. Topics will include different practice areas, what a typical day is like, effective networking techniques, and how to impress potential employers. The conversation during this event will be student driven–this is the time to ask those “off the record” questions!
The attorneys attending this event, who are serving or have served on the Akron Law Alumni Association (“LAA”) Board, are:
Megan Frantz Oldham (’05), associate with Tzangas, Plakas, Mannos & Raies
Blake Gerney (’95), partner with Day Ketterer, Certified Specialist in Business, Commercial and Industrial Real Property Law
Norma Shaub (’87), LAA director
Tom Pitts (’79), partner with Stocker Pitts and past president of the LAA
Richard Williger (’82), sole practitioner
Walter Madison (’98), sole practitioner and current president of the LAA
The event will take place in the Intellectual Property/Miller-Becker Center in the law school. Due to limited space, please RSVP to Katie Basch, Student Director of the Akron Law Alumni Association at krg15@zips.uakron.edu or Jeanne Kennedy at jeanne2@uakron.edu by Monday at 12 pm.
