2012 Equal Justice Works Conference and Career Fair – October 26 & 27, 2012 – Crystal Gateway Marriott, Arlington, VA. The Equal Justice Works annual Conference and Career Fair is the largest public interest career fair in the country. It is the only event, solely dedicated to law students, where you’ll find more than 1000 public interest-minded students representing 200 law schools from across the country coming together to explore career options with leading nonprofit organizations and government agencies. The Conference and Career Fair provides access to job opportunities for law students; connects employers with talented attorneys and law students; and offers a multitude of skill-building and career advising sessions with experts from around the country.
Students must register and apply to available positions no later than Thursday, September 13. Students, such as 1Ls, who only wish to attend the Table Talk and/or the workshop sessions, can register until Thursday, October 11. There are currently 92 employers registered with more employers registering and more jobs being posted every day.

There is a free pre-event webinars to help prepare students for the 2012 Conference and Career Fair. The first webinar they can sign up for is “Enhance Your Resume: Output v. Outcome” on Tuesday, August 21 at 3 p.m. EDT.

The Career Planning and Placement Office will pay the $25.00 registration fee for each registered student. Please e-mail Jeanne Kennedy in the CPPO (jeanne2@uakron.edu) by Monday, September 10 at 12 noon if you plan to register.
