SELS Volunteers Needed: Summit Special Olympics Athletic Club
The Sports and Entertainment Law Society is looking for volunteers to help out at the Booke McMahan Memorial Swim Meet hosted by the Summit Special Olympics Athletic Club. The swim meet will be held at the University of Akron Ocasek Natatorium on Saturday November 15, 2014. Volunteers will earn general community service credit. Earn community service hours: Law students needed to work as student ambassadors at the 3rd Annual Judge Bell Trial Advocacy Program on Oct. 30 and 31. There are three times to choose from: Oct. 30 from 7:00 am – 9:45 am; Oct. 30 from 11:30 am – 4:30 pm; and Oct. 31 from 7:00 am – 1:00 pm. The program will take place at the federal courthouse here in Akron. Student ambassadors will assist the Law School Office of Strategic Initiatives in various duties ensuring that the program operates smoothly. The Judge Bell Trial Advocacy Program is attended by various state and federal judges as well as many local experienced attorneys. Don’t miss out on this great networking opportunity!
