ALLSA welcomes two Akron Law Alumni, Jessica Lopez and Tiffany Sovik, come to speak to students about the steps required to be successful in law school to obtain employment post-graduation. Ms. Lopez focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, and general intellectual property law, with an emphasis on trademarks. Prior to joining Roetzel, she completed her Master of Laws in Intellectual Property at Akron Law with a specialized focus on trademarks and trade secrets. Ms. Sovik focuses her practice on litigation, with an emphasis on transportation litigation, general liability defense and insurance. The speakers will first talk about themselves and how they found employment after graduating from law school. They will also cover topics such as how to outline, do hypos and prepare for exams. There will then be an opportunity for a question and answer session. The event will be held tomorrow, 11/4, at noon in room 167. All are welcome to attend and there is no registration necessary, although our Facebook page will have an event link. The contact information for the event is our President, Grace Wang (yw41@zips.uakron.edu).
