The Law and Leadership Institute – On-Campus interviews on April 9, 2015
The program, which includes both summer and academic year components, gives students from inner-city schools an intensive introduction to both law and college-level work. The goal is to prepare youth from underserved communities to compete at high academic levels through use of intense legal and educational programming as a tool for developing leadership skills and facilitating the pursuit of higher education. Over the long term, this program aims to improve the administration of justice in Ohio by encouraging students from all walks of life to consider a career at the bench or bar, thus improving the profession’s diversity and giving the citizen’s of Ohio the opportunity to be both judged and represented by their peers. Law students teach the curriculum to the high school students here at Akron Law.
