Constitution Week Events September 14-18

The Center for Constitutional Law, one of four national research centers established by Congress, located at the University of Akron School of Law is offering several presentations during Constitution Week, September 14-18, 2015. On Monday, the movie “14: Dred Scott, Wong Kim Ark & Vanessa Lopez” will be shown at 12:30 pm, Room 151 and again at 5:00 pm in Room 165. On Wednesday, Professors Marty Belsky and Dean Carro present “Prosecutor Meets Defense” at 12:30 pm in Room 151. Thursday, Professor Wilson Huhn addresses Obergefell v. Hodges, when he presents “Understanding the Implications of the Same-sex Marriage Case” at 12:30 pm in Room 151. Thursday, Professors Bill Rich, Koji Higashikawa and Dean Matthew Wilson will engage in a discussion on the international comparison in “Hate Speech Under the U.S. and Japanese Constitutions” at 5:00 in Room 151.
