Asian and Latino Law Student’s, Black Law Student’s, and Jewish Law Student’s Associations will be co-hosting the October 8, 2015 “Have Your Say” in the law school atrium starting at 12:15 p.m.
Our topic will be “Implicit Biases in Law Enforcement: Use of Force and Disparate Treatment”.
Students will have the opportunity to take the Harvard Implicit Bias Test (https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/takeatest.html) and interpret the results to learn how implicit biases impact policing.
Guest Speakers Professor Brant Lee and Professor J. Dean Carro will speak about implicit biases and race relations as well as how law enforcement officers may harbor unknown, implicit biases that effect when and how force is used.
Please bring your laptop if you have one in order to take the Implicit Bias Test.
