New York, NY – 2017 NFL Summer Internship Program (Legal – Management Council) – National Football League
The summer program will run from Monday, June 6, 2017 through Friday, August 5, 2017. Please note that some departments may require their interns to work past the official end date. If so, this will be communicated to the applicant during the interview process.
Duties: Interns will be required to work five (5) full days (approximately 40 hours) per week. Interns will be paid an hourly rate for their work. NFL Management Council Law Clerks are required to commit to a 40 hour work week assisting attorneys with various labor relations matters, which may include and are not limited to: The administration of the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement and League Policies; The representation of NFL Clubs in all aspects of labor arbitration cases (i.e. grievances); Research and legal writing assignments.
Qualifications: Students in their first or second year of Law School; Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, fine attention to detail and sharp analytical skills; Candidates should have an interest in Labor and Employment Law, Collective Bargaining and Litigation; Some prior internship and/or work experience is preferred; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Applicants must be legally permitted to work in the United States and international students must have all visas and employment authorizations prior to the start of the internship; Completion of this application assumes eligibility to work in the United States.
