Graduating Spring 2018? Apply Now!

If you plan to graduate with your law degree May 2018, you are required to apply for candidacy.  The graduation application window is now open via your My Akron portal.  The deadline to apply for Spring 2018 degree candidacy is October 1, 2017. 

For students who intend to complete this summer or fall, the deadline to apply for Fall 2017 degree candidacy was May 1st.  If you missed the deadline and will be completing your requirements either Summer 2017 or Fall 2017, you must receive signed permission  from the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, then process in person at the Simmons Hall first floor intake windows.

Paid Position in the Expungement Clinic

Akron, OH – Expungement Clinic – Legal Clinic at The University of Akron

AkronLawJobs No. 8453 Overview: The legal clinic seeks a paid student to work in the Expungement Clinic.  The student must commit up to 4 hours per week. The student is responsible for recruiting and training volunteers for the clinic and organizing the monthly clinic. The student also provides administrative support for the clinic. Tasks include drafting and mailing court notices, preparing closing letters to clients, maintaining client files, and returning calls to clinic clients.  The student may also attend the monthly Saturday outreach clinics.  Expungement experience preferred but not required.
