On Monday, April 9, between 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., stop by Room 201 for a free breakfast and ten minute demos of Westlaw Practice Ready. Westlaw Practice Ready is a new set of practice tools available to University of Akron law students.

Westlaw Practice Ready includes:  Eighteen months of free commercial access to Westlaw for graduating law students PLUS a host of other tools to draft, argue and research more effectively.

Graduating End of Fall 2018?

The Deadline to Apply is May 1st.

If you plan to complete your law degree (including any certificate) at the conclusion of the Fall 2018 semester, a graduation application for degree candidacy is required. 

Submit your FREE graduation application NOW via My Akron.

The DEADLINE for law students to apply for Fall 2018 degree candidacy is Tuesday, May 1, 2018.  

In case you are not aware, the university also offers your personal, degree progress report via My Akron.  You can easily view and track your academic progress and outstanding requirements using this tool.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Assistant Dean Charles Oldfield (cwo@uakron.edu) or Manager Liz Wascak (liz@uakron.edu).

SBA Public Interest Auction is Today!

Please join us this Friday, April 6th for our annual Public Interest Auction. The night will include live and silent auctions, a cash bar, a live jazz band, trivia, bingo and more! Items being auctioned off include golf with President Wilson, a signed Tristan Thompson hat, Cav’s gear, and various prize baskets. Tickets can be purchased here: https://commerce.cashnet.com/LAWORG. Please remember that in order to qualify for a Public Interest Fellowship stipend for this upcoming summer you will be required to purchase a ticket to the Public Interest Auction! All proceeds raised at the auction will go towards the Public Interest Fund and help provide our students with much needed income for the summer.
