Mandatory 1L Bar Prep Forums

The offices of Student and Academic Affairs will host forums regarding the new BarBri partnership and how it will affect you.

These forums are mandatory and should be attended based on your class year. Times are as follows:

1L Students

Monday, February 11 at 12:15 pm in Room 180

Tuesday, February 12 at 5:30 pm in Room 280

Fort Lauderdale, FL – Summer 2019 Volunteer Summer Internship – Legal Aid Service of Broward County

AkronLawJobs No. 9942 Overview: The two Greater Fort Lauderdale-area Legal Aid offices, Legal Aid Services of Broward County and Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida, are accepting applications for VOLUNTEER INTERNSHIPS for Summer, 2019.

The mission of these programs is to provide high-quality free civil legal advice, representation, and education to the disadvantaged of Broward County. Service areas include, but are not limited to, housing, children’s, consumer, immigration, public benefits, family, tax, senior citizens, domestic violence, homeless, veterans law, and special projects, including major litigation and education/employment. Duties: Will provide assistance to benefit the low-income community in Broward County; and Possible tasks include client interviews, drafting pleadings and memoranda, and legal research.

Qualifications: 1L, 2L.

Please note: This internship is unpaid. Applicants are encouraged to research any fellowship opportunities through their law school to possibly fund the internship.

BestVPN.com $2,000 Privacy Matters Scholarship Program

It is our goal to raise awareness amongst young adults about threats to privacy and important privacy matters. To achieve this, we host a $2,000 essay competition twice per year which encourages students to think critically about a particular privacy or cybersecurity topic. Our 2019/2020 essay topic focuses on DNA testing companies and the potential privacy dangers of giving away your DNA.
