Wed., Oct. 21, 12:15PM – 1:15PM, WebEx – Diversity and Visibility in Intellectual Property Law (see attached flyer)

This panel is a joint effort by IPTLA and IEAT, focusing on diverse intellectual property law practitioners. The panel will consist of three women: Maleishia Douglas, the current president of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association and an Akron alum, Holly Fechner of Covington & Burling, known for her research on and advocacy for diversity in the IP law field, and Kristine Schlegelmilch, who is currently in Geneva with the US Mission finishing up the WIPO General Assemblies. This event will help bring diverse representation in this field to students at Akron Law, providing a wealth of knowledge and information sharing. Come and bring your questions about being a woman and/or a minority in IP and the legal field in general.
