National LGBTQ+ Bar Association Scholarships

The National LGBTQ+ Bar has recently launched a scholarship program for LGBTQ+ and ally law students. Three scholarships of $2,500 will be awarded annually; all current and incoming students with a commitment to LGBTQ+ equality are encouraged to apply. Applications are now open for the 2021-2022 school year, and will close on April 1, 2021. Akron Law-CSU/CMLaw Virtual Forums Spring 2021

To inform the ongoing discussions about a potential partnership between our two law schools, the Cleveland State University Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (CSU/CMLaw) and The University of Akron School of Law (Akron Law) are hosting a series of virtual forums during February and March 2021. Members of the Joint Exploratory Working Group (EWG); faculty, staff, administrators, and students at both law schools; and members of each school’s alumni boards will be invited to attend.

Unless otherwise noted, these virtual forums will be held on Fridays from noon to 1:30 pm. Please reserve these times on your calendar.

The first two virtual forums will take place on Friday, February 12 and Friday, February 19. Information about the February 12th forum appears below. Videoconference links will be provided.

You are not permitted to use your law school Lexis or Westlaw accounts for non-educational use.  To do so is a violation of the Honor Code. The EXCEPTIONS to this are – Lexis usually announces that during the summer, you may use your school account for work.  More info Westlaw usually allows summer use so long as you are not billing a client.
