We are offering the opportunity for current and prospective law students across the country to apply for a scholarship where our law firm will help pay for a portion of the winners’ upcoming educational costs.  

Our law firm, the Lemon Law Experts, have represented thousands of consumers throughout the State of California for over a decade with their automotive lemon law claims. National Driving and Traffic School 2021 scholarship opportunity

The Law Office of George J. Skuros Scholarship Opportunity

Our law firm, The Law Office of George J. Skuros, is offering a scholarship opportunity and accepting applications from interested students through September 15, 2021. The focus of our practice is family law, and our $1,000 Justice in Family Law Scholarship will support the education of a current or aspiring law student who wants to improve family law practice and policy.

  • At least 18 years old
  • U.S. citizens
  • Enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university for the 2021-2022 academic year

During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, students will remotely assist Legal Aid attorneys in representing individual clients in a variety of legal issues that impact shelter, health/safety, and economic security. Areas of practice include housing, consumer, public benefits, education, family/domestic violence, employment/barriers to employment, and tax.
Student Qualifications: Legal Aid externs should be currently enrolled in law school. Special consideration is given to students with a demonstrated commitment to serving disadvantaged people and communities. Essential Functions:
• Assist attorneys with initial client interviews and ongoing client contact (in-person client contact will not occur during the pandemic).
• Assist attorneys in all aspects of advocacy and litigation, including legal research, drafting of pleadings, memorandum, motions, affidavits and other correspondence; the preparation of charts, tables, documents and other evidentiary materials; and assist at remote hearings and other remote court proceedings.
• Conduct factual investigation, including obtaining, analyzing and summarizing documents and other evidence.
• Effectively communicate remotely with clients, co-workers, community partners, volunteers,
• judges and court staff.
• Provide appropriate intake support and make referrals.
