The Hope and Opportunity Scholarship, offered by Whitlock Law, LLC, supports students who have experienced life in the foster care system and are now pursuing higher education. This scholarship honors resilience and determination by offering financial assistance to students who are working toward a better future through academic achievement.
Eligibility:
- Must have spent part or all of childhood in the foster care system
- Must be at least 17 years old
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited U.S. college or university
Requirements:
- Proof of enrollment (such as a transcript, acceptance letter, or class schedule)
- Contact information as specified on the application form
- A 500-word personal essay responding to the prompt: Reflect on a specific challenge you faced while in foster care and how it contributed to your personal growth
