Lucas Law created the Legal Leaders Scholarship to support students pursuing a career in law. With a long-standing commitment to justice and education, this scholarship aims to ease the financial burden for aspiring legal professionals. Each semester, one student who demonstrates academic excellence and a passion for the legal field will be awarded $1,000 to support their education.

Eligibility:

  • Must be pursuing a career in the legal field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 (or provide the most recent semester’s GPA if not currently enrolled)
  • Must be at least 17 years old
  • Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited U.S. undergraduate or graduate program through Spring 2026

Requirements:

Kanoski Bresney Stand Up to Distracted Driving Scholarship

Amount Awarded: $1,000 (5 awards available)

Overview:
The Kanoski Bresney Stand Up to Distracted Driving Scholarship supports students who are passionate about raising awareness of the dangers of distracted driving. This scholarship offers five awards of $1,000 each to students who share their personal stories and creative ideas for promoting safer driving habits.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must meet one of the following:
    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited U.S. college or university (continuing through at least Fall 2025), or
    • A high school senior who will begin college in Spring or Fall 2025

Requirements:

  • A 1,000-word essay responding to the prompt: How has distracted driving affected your life? What ideas do you have to raise awareness of the dangers of distracted driving and prevent this behavior among young drivers?

The MKFM Resilient Student Scholarship
