Duties: Will assist the Office of Chief Legal Counsel by conducting legal research and writing. Projects will vary in nature and may include research on the current status of laws or rules in all states on a particular subject matter. May also be asked to summarize the findings in visually appealing charts and graphs.
Qualifications: 2L or 3L, with excellent research and writing skills.
Dates: October 2019 through May 2020. An average of 15 hours per week, depending upon the projects. Expected to be on-site one day per week, with a possibility of some work performed remotely. While there will be deadlines, there is an opportunity for scheduling flexibility.
Background Check: The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position. An individual assessment of an applicant’s prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.
