The Natural Disaster Relief Scholarship, offered by the OVC Scholarship Network, supports students who have experienced the impact of federally recognized natural disasters within the past 10 years. Eligible events include hurricanes, floods, wildfires, tornadoes, earthquakes, and similar disasters.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be at least 17 years old
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Must be currently enrolled or accepted as an undergraduate, graduate, or law student at an accredited U.S. institution
- Must have personally, or through immediate family, experienced a U.S. natural disaster within the past 10 years
Application Requirements:
- Proof of enrollment or acceptance (e.g., class schedule, acceptance letter, or unofficial transcript)
- A headshot photo
- A 3–5 minute video essay addressing:
- The specific disaster that affected the applicant and/or their family
- The ongoing impact of the disaster
- How the scholarship would support recovery and educational goals
