Community Service Opportunity (general hours)
In this critical election, it is essential to ensure all eligible Ohioans have a chance to vote. The Ohio Democratic Party is looking for attorneys and law students to assist in these efforts as poll observers in Summit County on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8th.
Poll observers will play an important role in breaking down barriers to voting by making sure all laws and rules are applied fairly and letting us know about issues as they arise. This opportunity will require an all-day commitment from 6AM to 8PM on Election Day and will include a half-day training in October. For UAkron law students, this time can count towards the required community service hours.
