Volunteers needed for Angel Tree Celebration – earn community service/limited means hours
Angel Tree provides Christmas gifts to children of incarcerated parents. The Angel Tree Celebration will take place on Saturday, December 12th, 2015 at the Ohio Means Jobs Center located at 1040 E. Tallmadge Ave, Akron OH 44310. Volunteers will assist with the Angel Tree Celebration. Feel free to volunteer in the area of your interest. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all volunteers. There is also free parking at the venue.
Summary of essential job functions
• Gift Distribution- 10 volunteers needed
• Arts and Crafts- 4 volunteers needed
• Refreshments- 6 volunteers needed
• Greeters/Hospitality/Santa’s Helper- 8 volunteers needed
• Registration/Information Table- 4 volunteers needed
• Set-up/ Clean-up- 12 volunteers needed
Minimum requirements
• Must be filled with holiday cheer.
• Must be able to commit to attending the event and stay for the entire duration of at least one shift schedule. Shifts will be 8am-12pm and 12pm-3pm. The event will start at 10am and is expected to end by 2pm, allowing an hour for clean-up.
Abilities required
• May require minor lifting up to 25lbs.
