Duties will include assisting the General Counsel with various tasks related to the legal concerns of the Company. Primary focus will be on contract administration, but will also involve exposure to a wide variety of areas of law. This is a part-time, paid position starting ASAP and last through the end of the year.
Qualifications: Looking for a 2L with prior corporate office experience and strong analytical skills. Should have a solid attention to detail and should be familiar with Microsoft Office applications; a proficiency in MS Access is a plus. GPA of 3.5 and above is preferred.

Fall Public Interest Stipend applications due 9/14 by Noon!
Akron Law Public Interest Law Program – Fall 2015 – Applications for the Fall 2015 Public Interest Law (PIL) Program will be accepted beginning Monday, August 31, 2015. Students interested in applying for a Fall 2015 Public Interest Law award should begin thinking about and securing a public interest placement for their fall PIL work experience. The Public Interest Law Program supports and encourages those students who would like to gain experience in public interest areas. Recent local placements have included:

If you think you would like to do this work, but have no idea how to line up a placement, please feel free to call upon Career Planning Director, Alisa Benedict O’Brien or Professor Joann Sahl. The deadline to submit your application for fall 2015 funding is Monday, September 14 at 12:00 Noon. It is required that you will secure a placement in advance of submitting your application.
The application form is to be filled out by the student/applicant. The organization that will employ you as a volunteer law clerk and will provide supervision will need to confirm that in a letter on their letterhead/stationary. They will need to include your start date, end date, number of hours per week on average, supervisor’s name, and a sentence describing your anticipated duties. This letter also needs to be submitted by the application deadline of Monday, September 14, 2015 at 12:00 Noon.

Wayne County Public Defender seeks Legal Intern
Wayne County Public Defender’s Office is seeking a 2L or 3L who has their legal intern certificate to begin immediately. The selected individual will handle cases and court appearances under the supervision of an attorney. This internship is not paid but is wonderful experience and qualifies for the Public Interest Stipend.
