The Akron Bar Foundation is requesting volunteers on Friday, January 31, 2020 and Saturday, February 1, 2020 and could really use your help!

Income Tax Preparation Volunteers Needed
Several volunteers are needed to help with ASIA’s annual income tax preparation program. This project pairs qualified volunteers with individuals in the Cleveland area that have limited English abilities, so that they can complete their income taxes before the April 15th deadline. All volunteer hours will be completed at the ASIA Cleveland Offices ( 3631 Perkins Avenue, Suite 2A-W, Cleveland, OH, 44114 ). Scheduling is extremely flexible—there is no obligation to return on a weekly basis, though it would be appreciated. This program is active Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 10 am – 4 pm, and Saturday from 10 am – 5 pm.
All volunteers must be 18 or older.
Training is required to fill this role, and can be completed either online or in person. If you are interested in helping the community with income tax preparation, please contact ASIA’s new volunteer coordinator, Ben Holda, bholda@asiaohio.org.

Thomson Reuters is sponsoring students who are interested in attending this year’s ABA Tech show. ABA Tech is where lawyers, legal professionals, and technology all come together. As a law student, this is a great opportunity to learn more about the practice of law and network with others in attendance. Thomson Reuters will cover the registration fee, but the interested student would need to pay for transportation and hotel arrangements.
