Duties: Supports and plans work on small projects with direction from management. Minimum Education: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited University law program. Must have completed your 1L year by the time you begin the internship.

Required Skills: Software skills, including the use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications. Knowledge of AutoCAD software may be required for some positions. Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management. Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals. Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.

Essential Functions: 20% Researches, collects, and interprets data for the purpose of providing information to management, developing programs, making recommendations, and preparing materials. Evaluates programs, provides input in the decision-making process, and administers new programs.

Works closely with UA and community groups to develop and monitor value propositions based on market feedback to build brand awareness, promote events, and maximize the potential of programs and startups. 30% Organizes meetings, coordinates special events and composes correspondence. Updates and manages computer databases and file systems. Experience: Interest in technology commercialization, entrepreneurship, venture capital, and/or economic development. Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem solving, critical thinking, and research skills are required. Requires experience in office procedures. Ability to coordinate programs, work in a fast-paced environment, and utilize new technology as required. Advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software packages are required.

Leadership: Self-starter with abilities to think at a high level to answer inquiries in a way that advances the company’s image and brand.

Physical Requirements: The job is physically comfortable; the individual is normally seated and has discretion about walking, standing, etc. May occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.

Hours: Expected to work 15-20 hours per week.

Salary: $12.50 per hour.
