If you receive an email announcement, please use caution when replying. While it may appear to have come from an individual member of the Law School community, it is likely that it was distributed through the blog. When replying, please be sure to check the “To:” line of your email, to make sure it is addressed to the person you’re trying to reach. Most emails contain the email address of the person posting to the blog (i.e. “Email me at example@uakron.edu”) for your convenience. If you do not check, there is a good chance your email will be sent to the email list that the original blog posting was sent to, and could risk your confidentiality!

Household batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V, and Watch Batteries) can now be dropped off for proper disposal in two locations at the Law School.

Collection boxes will be placed in the Dean’s Office reception area, as well as in the Law Library circulation desk area for your convenience.

The School of Law has purchased tickets for the Akron Bar Professionalism Awards Dinner honoring Howard Walton.  This event will be held at Greystone Hall on Tuesday, October 18th, with the reception beginning at 5:30 followed by dinner at 6:15 p.m.  Tickets are free and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  If you would like to attend the Dinner, please contact Sue Staats (staats@uakron.edu or 330-972-7246).  Please indicate menu selection:  chicken, salmon, vegetarian.

Good afternoon.  We have a few open seats at Akron Law’s table for tomorrow’s Akron Roundtable XTRA.  The speaker will be Ohio Governor John Kasich.  The luncheon will be held from 11:45 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Quaker Station.  Complete details may be found at www.akronroundtable.org.  Tickets for Akron Law’s table will be given to students on a first-respond, first-served basis.  If you’d like to attend, please e-mail Sue Staats (staats@uakron.edu) in the Office of External Programs.
