The Intellectual Property and Technology Law Association (IPTLA) will hold a general meeting to discuss upcoming events and to elect a new president on Feb. 24 at 12:15 pm in W-206. All current and prospective members are invited. Food will be provided.

On Feb. 24 at 5:15 pm in the law school atrium, SBA will sponsor a meet and greet with Dean Belsky and students to talk about Akron Law issues such as student activity fees, bar prep courses, and class rankings. Hit the Dean with your questions, concerns, thoughts, or praise.

Attorneys from Benesch Friedlander will visit Akron Law on Mar. 3 from 12:15-1:15 in W-206 to discuss life for women in a large law firm setting. Food will be provided by the Law Association for Women. All law students are welcome to attend.

The Akron International Law Society presents “The Role of an International Lawyer,” a discussion with a practicing international lawyer about the role attorneys play in the global legal environment. This event will be held on Feb. 23 at 5:15 pm in W-210. Food will be provided.

The 2nd annual Law Law Palooza will take place Friday, February 26th, at The Lounge in downtown Akron at 9pm. Law Law Palooza is an open mic night open to all law students and faculty. Students will have up to 15 minutes to perform but can play less if they would prefer. There will be an acoustic guitar and keyboard provided, but students should feel free to bring their own instruments. This is a casual event and first time performers are welcomed and encouraged. Back by popular demand, Professor Carolyn “88 Keys” Dessin will take the stage this year with special guest, Assistant Dean Lauri Thorpe.  There will be a $5 cover and judgments and inhibitions will be checked at the door.
