ALLSA – Canned Immunity – April 18-22, Student Lounge

Every semester, the Asian-Latino Law Students Association (ALLSA) hosts a community service project called Canned Immunity. In exchange of canned goods or monetary donations, ALLSA gives law students “immunity tickets” that make them immune from being called on in class. This year, we plan on donating our canned goods to the local Akron food bank, and our monetary donations to a charitable organization providing relief to victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami. 2 cans or $1 will get you 1 immunity ticket. Find any of us at our booth in the cafeteria all throughout the week to check whether your professor is participating. Don’t be the only one caught without a ticket in class!!!!

Race Ipsa Loquitor – Registration Deadline is FRIDAY

There are only two days left to sign up for discount rate for the Race Ipsa Loquitur!  Join SBA in raising money for the Akron Food Bank.  If you submit a registration form  to Bradford Carlton  Eli Heller, or another SBA rep  by Friday April 15th  you can still only pay 20 dollars.  If you are unsure and want to wait to see what the lovely North East Ohio weather will do, that’s fine as well.  Runners may sign up the day of the race, but registration will skyrocket up to a whopping 25 dollars. The race is open Akron Law students, faculty, and non law students alike.  There will be lunch provided at the Barley House  for those who help participate in the race.  Any questions please contact Eli Heller at Elirheller@gmail.com.
