Last Chance: Moot Court Honor Society Informational Meeting

Are you interested in trying out for Moot Court, but you’re not quite sure what it entails? Please join us for the remaining Informational Meeting to learn more about becoming a member of Akron Law’s Moot Court Honor Society. The meeting is open to everyone and is not a requirement in order to tryout, whether you are a returning member or thinking about trying out for the first time. SELS Meeting – Thursday, 9/12, 12:30 pm, W-206

Sports Entertainment Law Society (SELS) is having its first meeting of the semester. Professor Ryan Vacca will be presenting on the basics of Sports & Entertainment Law. If you have an interest in this field or are unfamiliar with it, please feel free to stop by. Food will be provided to all in attendance. The event will be on Thursday, September 12th from 12:30 to 1:30 in Rm W-206.

CQE Clinic Volunteer Training – Friday, September 13, 5:00 pm

Our next free Certificate of Qualification for Employment (CQE) clinic is this Saturday, September 14! We’re very excited to be providing opportunities for ex-offenders in Summit County to take a step toward gaining employment and independence!

We are looking for students to volunteer from 9:15a-12:30p on Saturday, September 14. The clinic will be held at Akron Public Library – Main Branch, 60 South High Street, Akron. The time you volunteer can be applied toward your graduation requirement as pro bono limited means hours.

There will be a training on Friday, September 13, 5-6:15p at the law school for our volunteers. The time you spend at training will count toward your pro bono limited means hours as well.
