IPTLA will be holding a meeting on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 12:15 pm in room W-214. The presenter will be Heather Barnes from Brouse McDowell. Heather will speak about intellectual property law generally and will discuss how she has managed to balance work and family life in her career. Heather’s practice includes the prosecution of patents, trademarks (domestically and internationally) and copyrights, as well as litigation research pertaining to all areas of intellectual property. Her background is in mechanical engineering. Heather is also a registered patent attorney. Come for a great opportunity to network and get to know other students that are interest in intellectual property law. Food will be provided.

ALLSA will hold a general meeting on Wednesday, October 6 at 5 pm in room W-209 for any law student interested in being a part of the Asian Latino Law Student Association. Food will be served.

Fed. Society – Dean Belsky To Debate The Heritage Foundation’s John Park on Thursday
The Federalist Society will be hosting “Debate with the Dean: Should Judges Be Elected or Appointed?” on Thursday, October 7, at 12:15 pm in Room 151. Dean Martin H. Belsky, who serves as vice-president of the American Judicature Society, and John Park, visiting legal fellow at The Heritage Foundation, will delve into the hot topic of judicial selection.
