Career Planning Workshops – week of February 4, 2013
Tuesday, February 5/ 12:20 – 1:10 and 5:15 – 6:15 p.m. in Room 134 — Job Searching for third and fourth years. The staff of the Career Planning Office will speak about what you can and should be doing now to get your job search in gear. Hear about networking skills and how they are crucial in your job search, and learn how to improve the effectiveness of your applications. We will also be available to answer questions to help you focus your job search.

Cleveland, OH: Jackson Lewis LLP, a law firm dedicated to representing management exclusively in labor and employment law, is accepting application materials for a potential summer associate position. Interested candidates should be current second year full-time or third/fourth year part-time students who will graduate in December 2013 or May 2014. Applicants should have a strong interest in labor and employment law. Classwork in these areas is also helpful, but not required. The Firm requires candidates in the top 1/3 of their class. If you would like to be considered, you must submit your resume (listing your GPA and class rank); cover letter describing your interest in labor and employment law, interest in working in a large law firm that defends employers in labor and employment matters; relevant coursework (if applicable) and relevant experience; and a writing sample via e-mail to Career Planning Director, Barbara Weinzierl (bcw@aukron.edu) by Friday, February 8 at 12 noon.
