This is a wonderful opportunity for you to speak to a variety of public interest employers and learn more about practicing law with a public interest organization and how to break in to those kinds of jobs. As announced in The Career Connection, the Career Planning Office is collecting resumes for an Akron law firm that is searching for a 2D/3E/3D/4E law student to work part-time as a law clerk. Duties include legal reserach, filing, assisting with discovery and writing. The firm requested that we not publish the name of the employer. How Can the Career Planning Office Help You? Recently, the Career Planning Office communicated what you can do to take control of your job search. Now, we’d like you to communicate to us what we can do to best help you. It’s a difficult job market right now; we’ll get better results if we work together.
The Career Planning Office will be hosting an open forum to get your constructive suggestions on what we can do to better serve you. This brainstorming session with Asst. Dean Meg Matejkovic and Career Planning Director, Barbara Weinzierl will be held on Thursday, October 1 at 12:15 and 5:15 in the West Hall Student Lounge area. At least come for the ice cream! If you prefer to offer your ideas in private and not in a public forum, our door is always open. Please stop by the Career Planning Office any time.
