From Associate Dean Jordan

I understand some students are planning to take Remedies next fall before graduating in December. This year was the first time we offered a section of Remedies in the fall. We will not know until February or March whether we will be offering Remedies next fall. If you want to take Remedies (which I highly recommend) before graduating in December, you should take in in Spring 2013.

On Saturday, November 17, 2012, The Summit Special Olympics Athletic Club (SSOAC) is sponsoring its 8th annual memorial invitational swim meet in honor of former team member, Brooke McMahan.  The meet will be held at the University of Akron ONAT located on campus.  SSOAC is a Summit County DODD and family supported swim team that competes regionally in Ohio Special Olympics swim meets.   A number of other area Special Olympics swim teams will participate at this event.  SSOAC  needs volunteers to help during this event in a variety of areas, including lunch distribution, timekeeper, runner, athlete assistant and companion, and the like. Together, we will be able to help these special athletes enjoy a fun-filled day of training and competition.  If you are interested, contact Professor Shaver at eas68@uakron.edu.

The Lexis and Westlaw Prints Are Being Relocated

If you have any Lexis or Westlaw prints more than a couple of weeks old please retrieve them immediately.

In the next week or two we will be moving the location of prints to new containers below the Law Library LCD Announcement Screen at the circulation desk.

We will throw out old prints.

Where the Lexis and Westlaw prints are currently kept we will be putting the DVD containers for our collection of movies.  You can pick out a film title you want to watch and bring its container to the circulation desk to check out.  This should make it easier to see all the law themed film titles we own.
