The Moot Court Honor Society Internal Competition is Open to All! Two Cash Prizes!
MCHS’s internal competition is right around the corner! The competition involves an “oral only” closed-research problem, meaning competitors neither do research, nor write a brief. The winner will receive a $500 cash prize, and the runner-up will receive $200. The competition will be held on Saturday, April 12th (Don’t worry. You’ll still have plenty of time to get ready for Barristers). Lunch will be served to competitors.

Akron Law Kick-it tickets will be sold 11:30a.m.-1:30p.m. and 5:30p.m.-6:30p.m., Tuesday through Friday this week in the cafeteria. Show your spirit and support for kids cancer research!!

“Barristers Ball – Ticket Sales and Superlative Nominations!

Ticket Sales
Ticket sales will begin in the Student Lounge the morning of Monday March 31 and end Wednesday April 9. Sales will continue throughout the evening each week day. Tickets will not be available after April 9 and will not be available at the door. Tickets are $30/person.

Your ticket price includes the Grand Dinner Buffet, access to a Photo Booth, and a DJ to help us dance the night away. The Grand Dinner Buffet includes two salad options, three entree options (including a vegetarian option), three accompaniment options, and three dessert options. There will be two cash only bars at the event as well.

For your convenience, a block of rooms has been reserved at the Akron City Centre Hotel at a reduced rate. Please specify that you will be attending this event when you make your reservation.

Superlative Nominations
Please open the following link to nominate your friends for Superlative Awards! This is always a fun addition to the evening and the winners go home with a small prize. You will cast your votes for the nominated individuals when you purchase your ticket for the event.

Mark your calendars and please join your fellow students Saturday April 12 from 6:30pm-11:30pm at the Akron City Centre Hotel for the annual Barristers Ball. The theme this year is “An Evening With Gatsby”. True to form, this event will be the highlight of the semester. Dinner will be served and there will be a photo booth and a DJ to help us dance the night away.
