The Law School Democrats will be hosting a ‘Meet-and-Greet’ with the Honorable Judge Thomas A. Teodosio TODAY from 12:15-1pm in L-167. As a special surprise, the Honorable Judge Linda Tucci Teodosio of the Summit County Juvenile Court has agreed to accompany Judge Thomas Teodosio. Both judges will be speaking about their paths to becoming a judge and the upcoming election. Boston Market will be served for lunch. No RSVP required–we hope to see you there!!

An opportunity to hear from the University of Akron School of Law’s own Prof. Tracy Thomas on the historical development of abortion law and a preview of policy developments on the horizon.  A short lecture will be followed by a Q & A.

Please join the ACLU at the University of Akron School of Law in a riveting presentation entitled “Immigration Brutality”. Attorney Farhad Sethna will be the guest speaker for the event. Come find out about problems that immigrants in America face and get all your questions about immigration answered. This event will be held Tuesday, October 23 in Room W-214 from 12-1PM.

Need a study break, or an interesting night out? If so, please join the GSLA for a Chairty Drag Show TONIGHT. This show will benefit the Trevor Project a charity involved in suicide prevention. The show will be held at Interbelt Night Club (70 N. Howard St.) and doors open a 9, and tickets are $8. Please join us for a night of fun, while supporting a good cause.

The Asian Latino Law Students Association (ALLSA) will be holding a general meeting on Monday October 22, 2012 at 12:15 pm in L-167. We will discuss upcoming events such as: Chips and ALLSA (our Charity Poker Tournament), Canned Immunity, and many more. Also, we will be voting on the venue for our next social.
