As previously announced in The Career Connection, the Career Planning Office is collecting resumes for United Transportation Union. They are seeking resumes from 2D/3E students to work part-time as a law clerk. United Transportation Union generally hires one law clerk for a one year period beginning in May or June and continuing until May or June of the following year. They will consider hiring an intern for the summer only. Interns will be exposed to various facets of the judicial, administrative and legal processes and works directly with the attorneys. Interns are required to have good research and writing skills as the primary focus of the job is to research and draft legal memos, motions, briefs, and various documents for discovery. The Intern is also called upon to deal with court personnel, opposing counsel, and various UTU officers and members in their daily activities. The salary for the position is $17.00 per hour.
