Description: This is a paid, part time position, 20 hours per week. The position entails reviewing delinquency complaints, reports, and evidence, communicating with investigators, conducting research, drafting pleadings, and representing the State of Ohio in all aspects of juvenile traffic, unruly and delinquency proceedings from arraignment to trial.

Expungement Clinic Seeking Student Volunteers*

The Expungement Clinic helps low-income Summit County residents seal the record of their criminal convictions.  A sealed record enables many people better access to jobs, housing, and volunteer opportunities.  Students will learn integral skills in the legal field including record searches, reading court dockets, completing applications to file with the court, and interviewing real clients.

Akron, OH – Summer 2018 Externship – Summit County Domestic Relations Court

 

AkronLawJobs No. 9206  Overview: Work with Summit County Domestic Relations Court as a law clerk to provide assistance to Summit County residents on cases related to Family Law and Domestic Relations.

Duties: Will work with judges, magistrates, court personnel, domestic relations attorneys and the public. Will assist with staffing the Attorney Help Desk.

Qualifications: 1L or 2L. Able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week. Are currently taking or have taken Family Law class. Must also meet with Dean O’Brien about receiving course credit.
