The Law Office of George J. Skuros Justice in Family Law Scholarship

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FALL 2024

The Law Office of George J. Skuros Justice in Family Law Scholarship is open to a current or aspiring law student who wants to bring positive change to family law practice and policy. The award, in the amount of $1,000, can be applied to tuition and other educational expenses at the college, university, or law school where the recipient is enrolled.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

To apply for the Justice in Family Law Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You are enrolled (or will be) in an accredited undergraduate or J.D. program at a U.S. college or university for Fall 2024
  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You are a U.S. citizen
  • You have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5

Devadoss Law Firm Civil Rights Scholarship

Twice a year, we offer The Devadoss Law Firm Civil Rights Scholarship ($1,000) to college students throughout the United States who are pursuing a law degree.

Our award is available to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Current or aspiring law student
  • Citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Enrolled at an accredited college or university within the United States as an undergraduate or graduate student for the upcoming semester
  • At least 17 years of age

Our next scholarship deadline is March 5, 2024.

THE CROWDER LAW FIRM SCHOLARSHIP

We are a law firm based in Plano, Texas offering two awards each of with a value of $1,000 to students pursuing a higher education who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement.   • Student applicants must have achieved a 3.6 GPA or higher
  • Student applicants will be enrolled at an accredited university or college for the Spring 2024 semester
  • Student applicants must be a citizen or permanent residents of the United States

Our scholarship contest does require an essay of approximately 1,000 words. Students must apply by January 8, 2024.

The Kanoski Bresney Stand Up to Distracted Driving Scholarship

Kanoski Bresney, our Central Illinois law firm, is offering five scholarship awards, each in the amount of $1,000, to support students throughout the U.S. who are starting or continuing their college or university education in the Fall 2024 semester.

We ask that applicants submit an original essay in response to the prompt: “How has distracted driving affected your life? What ideas do you have to raise awareness of the dangers of distracted driving and prevent this behavior among young drivers?”
