While in law school, Elliott Lewis (’13) was a two-time winner of Akron Law’s Internal Moot Court Competition. Inspired by his own experience as a competitor, Elliott recently made a generous contribution to Akron Law to double the monetary prizes that are awarded to the first and second place advocates. As a result of his generosity, prizes of $500 and $200 will be awarded to this year’s first and second place advocates.

Judge Linda Tucci Teodosio and Judge Thomas Teodosio will have a discussion with Prof. Hightower’s Law Practice Management class about what judges expect from attorneys who practice before them, and other perspectives from the bench. Comments and interaction are welcome.

Prof. Hightower has opened up this presentation to any law students who are interested in attending.

The Intramural Mock Trial Tournament will be held on Saturday, March 8. The winning team receives $800 cash prize and pictures taken with the Law Lion Cup. The runner-up team receives $500 cash prize and the semi-finalist teams each receive $300 cash prize. Best witness and runner-up best witness each receive $100 cash prize.
