The Office of External Programs still has one ticket left for the September 19 Northern District of Ohio Chapter of the Federal Bar Association State of the Court Luncheon in Cleveland. Chief Judge Solomon Oliver Jr. and Chief Judge Marilyn Shea-Stonum will report on matters of interest to practitioners in the Northern District. This is a great networking opportunity for students. The first student to e-mail Jeanne Kennedy indicating that they would like this ticket is the winner! 

The luncheon will take place on Monday, September 19 at 12 noon (doors open at 11:30) at the Marriott Cleveland Downtown, Key Center, 127 Public Square.

 October 4, 2011, 12 noon – 1:30 – Etiquette Lunch: Wine, Dine and How to Act Fine. The CPPO has purchased two tables at the upcoming Etiquette Lunch in the Student Union. Learn and polish your etiquette and professional skills before you begin your interviews. CPPO announces summer 2012 K&L Gates Public Interest Fellowship Program

The CPPO has received information about the K&L Gates LLP Public Interest Fellowship Program for the summer of 2012. This program offers law students the opportunity to assist public service organizations located in Pittsburgh, PA. Each summer, the program awards up to three successful candidates a fellowship that enables them to spend four weeks of their summer working at one of four designated public interest organizations: Allegheny Conference on Community Development, Education Law Center, KidsVoice and the neighborhood Legal Services Association. In 2012, each recipient will be paid a stipend of $1,000 per week for his or her public interest service.
