U.S. Navy JAG Corps Info Session — All students invited

October 26, 2010: U.S. NAVY JAG Corps Informational Session (12:15 – 1:15 in Room 134) – A representative from the U.S. Navy JAG Corps will give an informational presentation to students interested in learning about careers as Navy JAGs. By way of background, U.S. Navy JAGs serve as attorneys and naval officers. They serve worldwide in a variety of practice areas, including criminal litigation, operational law, international law, administrative law and legal assistance. Barry Fromm, a 1980 UA Law School graduate who is the President and CEO of the Value Recovery Group (the holding company for a number of corporations) will be speaking today (Wednesday, September 29) from 5 to 6 p.m. in West Hall Room 214.  He will be speaking  about his career path, his philosophy as an entrepreneur and the proper role for attorneys acting as inside counsel.  He employs a large staff of lawyers in his businesses that are headquartered in a suburb of Columbus.  This is an opportunity to network with a potential employer and to gain an insight into what  business employers are looking for from internal lawyers.  All students are welcome to attend Professor Spring’s class for this presentation.
