The PMF Program is a flagship leadership development program at the entry level for advanced degree candidates. It was created more than three decades ago by Executive Order and has gone through many changes over the years. The Program attracts and selects the best candidates possible, but is really designed with a more narrow focus – developing a cadre of potential government leaders. It provides some sustenance during the first years of employment and encourages development of leadership capabilities. The PMF Program inculcates a lasting bond as well as a spirit of public service, ultimately encouraging and leading to a career in the government.
Advanced Degree means a professional or graduate degree (e.g., master’s, Ph.D., J.D.)

The PMF Program Office has recently announced the PMF Class of 2016 application dates of Monday, September 28, through Tuesday, October 13, 2015.

The “Become a PMF” section on the PMF website at www.pmf.gov, including the “2016 Application” webpage, has been updated to reflect the new dates.

Please review this section and the “News & Events” section for any updates. Deadline to apply is October 13, 2015.

The Career Planning Staff will talk about resumes, cover letters, options for summer 2016 jobs, and everything career-related you need to know. You will not be permitted to schedule an individual career planning consultation until you attend one of these group sessions. Mark your calendar now!
MANDATORY First Year Career Planning Orientation:
ALL first year students must attend one (1) of the following sessions:
Thursday, October 15 – 12:20 – 1:10 p.m. – Room 151
Thursday, October 15 – 5:15 – 6:15 p.m. – Room 151
Tuesday, October 20 – 12:20 – 1:10 p.m. – Room 165
Tuesday, October 20 – 5:15 – 6:15 p.m. – Room 165
All first year students will receive the updated Career Planning Handbook and login information for
Symplicity/AkronLawJobs following the sessions.
