Electronic Evidence Certificate Program

The University of Akron Martin Center
Participants will gain the legal and technical knowledge and skill sets necessary to advise clients regarding:
- Using Electronic Evidence to accurately document and prove maximum damages in civil cases
- Investigating events without interviewing personnel; finding the facts without relying upon human recall; documenting events without incurring significant outside counsel fees
- Allowing Electronic Evidence to lead outside counsel and client to claims and •defenses faster and more economically than traditional case-building research

Cost: $450 per person – early bird registrations received by Nov. 9
$500 per person – registrations received after Nov. 9
(cost includes 12 CLE hours including one hour ethics, one hour professionalism and .5 substance abuse, as well as breakfast and lunch for both days)
Two students may attend free, by being selected from a random drawing. To enter the drawing for free registration, submit your name, e-mail address and telephone number no later than Noon Monday, November 9th to Michele Novachek in the Office of External Programs (manovac@uakron.edu). All are welcome to pay the registration fee to attend.
UNIVERSITY PARK WILL COME TO LIFE WITH ‘LIGHT UP’ LANTERN FESTIVAL OCT. 24
The streets of the University Park neighborhood will come to life with a magical display of lantern lights, music, dance, performance art, food and fun on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 6 to 10 p.m., Presented by the University Park Business Association (UPBA) in cooperation with Leandra Drumm Designs Inc., this family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. at Don Drumm Studios and Gallery, 437 Crouse St., Akron, with an exhibition by installation artists Dan Coffield and Kevin Smalley. A lantern procession will then wind its way through the streets of University Park to find music including bagpipes and an authentic hurdy gurdy, visual and theatrical performances, dance performances featuring renowned artist Lisa Lock, a stilt walker, free henna tattoos and many more talented artists, musicians and dancers. Lantern-making workshops have been held through University Park and on The University of Akron campus in preparation for this event. Crazy outfits and lanterns are encouraged!
