Duties: Patent searching; Preparing presentations summarizing patent search results; Preparing information disclosure statements for submission to the USPTO; Preparing design patent applications for submission to the USPTO; Preparing responses to USPTO office actions; Drafting utility patent applications; Drafting patent clearance opinions for new tread designs; and Drafting patent clearance opinions for new technology

Qualifications Required: Law student with an interest in intellectual property law; Strong written and oral communication skills; and Sensitivity to confidentiality issues.

Preferred: Familiarity and/or experience dealing with trademarks, patents, copyrights, trade secrets, and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have taken an introductory intellectual property law course, courses in patent law, and be eligible to sit for the USPTO patent registration examination.
