Attorney looking for any 2Ls, 3Ls, or JDs looking for a part-time position on a specific short, immediate project. This is a temporary project (2-3 weeks) but could lead to great recommendation/job leads and would be ideal for someone looking for extra work on the weekends or needs a flexible schedule.

Qualifications: Ability to organize; understands pleadings, review documents, good computer skills (including word and excel), focused, willing to do tedious work. No job too big or small. This involves work on an important case and time is critical. If you have these qualities, please contact me. Stipend or Compensation will be discussed. This is a great learning experience. All work will be done at Attorney’s home office in Fairlawn.

Duties: Will include the opportunity to become directly involved with the broad range of legal matters that affect University Hospitals Health System, Inc. The Law Department’s “small law firm” environment enables an intern to experience a wide range of topics, including, general corporate practice, tax and nonprofit issues, employment law, real estate, health care regulatory matters (e.g. Stark law, Anti-kickback, EMTALA, and HIPAA), hospital policy, patient care issues, and corporate governance.

Qualifications:  Strong research and writing skills are required. Background investigation by the Law Department and approval of Vice President & Deputy General Counsel for Corporate Legal Services also required. Students with a demonstrated interest in health law and with journal and/or clinic experience preferred.

Overview:  A 10-week placement at one of our partner legal services organizations.  A full-time workload. (35-40hrs per week). Designated on-site work space. $4,000 stipend to cover expenses over the summer. Training from our nation’s leading legal experts in technology and access to justice issues. A dedicated supervisor who can meet with and provide feedback to the Fellow. Opportunities to gain exposure to and skills legal services – or advocacy-related work. Duties: Develop self-help kiosks in rural communities that would include live chat, in urban community, increase efficiency of intake system, develop social media communication platforms statewide.

Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent legal research skills.

Commitment to the mission and vision of Ohio State Legal Services Association. Ability to prioritize and manage projects and tasks to meet deadlines. Self-motivated and able and work independently. Creativity and willingness to take on challenging projects.
