Contact the Library by December 2 to get Fine Amnesty

The Law Library is hosting a fine amnesty event through December 2, 2016, to welcome patrons and materials back to the library.  Don’t let library fines stop you from registering for classes!

  • If students have library fines, we will waive them. Please contact the library by phone ((330)972-7330), email (ualawlibrary@uakron.edu) or in person at 322 Central Hower Building to request fine amnesty.  Requests must be made by December 2, 2016.
  • If students have overdue materials, they can return them and we will waive the overdue fines.
  • We will help find the lowest cost replacement item for any lost materials.
  • We can immediately lift PeopleSoft holds so that students can register for classes.

Here’s the fine print:

  • No refunds on previously paid library fines.
  • Amnesty is available for students only.

If you have any questions about the amnesty event or you want to see if you have outstanding fines or overdue items, please contact the library. (By phone ((330)972-7330), email (ualawlibrary@uakron.edu) or in person at 322 Central Hower Building).

Use CALI Lessons to Study for Finals

As final exams approach, students might consider taking a CALI lesson for review or to get a grip on elusive concepts. (Rule Against Perpetuities, anyone?).  CALI lessons are interactive tutorials written by law professors and librarians.

If you have not created a CALI account, here is how:

1. Get the Authorization Code by clicking on this link and entering your UAnet ID and university password.

2. Go to CALI’s website (http://www.cali.org ) and click on “Create New Account.”   Follow the instructions on that web page and enter the CALI authorization code when prompted.

If you have any questions or problems, contact Sue Altmeyer, saltmeyer@uakron.edu, (330)972-7764, Law Library in Central Hower Room 322.
