Volunteer Opportunities in the community – earn community service hours!

Barberton Parks & Recreation Department is having a Fall Family Fun Night on October 6th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. They are in need of volunteers for the event. Interested volunteers should contact Lisa McLean, 330.861.7135.

Beacon Charity Pharmacy is hosting Blues, Brews & All That Jazz on Thursday, Sept. 13th at the MAPs Air Museum, located at 2260 International Pkwy, North Canton, OH 44720. They are seeking 5-8 volunteers to assist from 5pm to 9pm. Volunteers needed for Barberton Mum Fest

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, September 29 from 9:30a-2p or Sunday, September 30 from 9:30a-2p or 1:30p-6p. Volunteers should arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled shift and check in at the Volunteer Sign In station on the side of Lake Anna across from Faith Gym. There will be a purple tent inside the park.

*Expungement Clinic Seeking Student Volunteers*

The Expungement Clinic helps low-income Summit County residents seal the record of their criminal convictions.  A sealed record enables many people better access to jobs, housing, and volunteer opportunities.  Students will learn integral skills in the legal field including record searches, reading court dockets, completing applications to file with the court, and interviewing real clients.

There will be a mandatory training session on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 5:00-6:00pm in the Law School Room 301. (You do not need to attend training if you have attended in the past).  You will need a laptop for training and the Clinic.
