Law Student Panelists Needed – Maplewood Career Center – Tue. Oct. 16 at 6 pm

Maplewood Career Center in Ravenna, OH (about 30 minutes east of Akron) seeks 4-5 law students to speak to high school students entering their Legal Academy this year. The intent of the panel is to address life as a law student, as well as your educational and professional history leading up to law school.

The panel will run from 6-7 pm on Tuesday, October 16.

Community Service – Limited Means Opportunity!

The Project Homeless Connect 5K, 10K Run and 5K “Walk On Water” will be held at Summit Lake on October 13th at 9:00 a.m.  Volunteers are needed to help with registration, passing out t-shirts, goodie bags and water, serving food, assisting with awards, photographing the event and being timers.  If you are interested in volunteering, please send an e-mail to Fred Berry at fberry@infolineinc.org.

Akron Law Cares – Community Service for Limited Means

The law school’s annual community service event – Akron Law Cares- will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2012. Students, faculty, administration and alumni work together during this community service project to assist low-income residents living in Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority apartments. New Community Service (General) Volunteer Opportunity!

Copley-Fairlawn Schools seek judges for speech and debate competitions. You will receive community service hours for your time. Training will be provided to those who have not judged before. Individuals will need to bring a pen, legal pad, and a stop watch.
