Pro Bono Limited Means opportunity!

The Volunteer Legal Services Program (VLSP) at Community Legal Aid is seeking a law student who is interested in volunteering with our Consumer projects; namely our Jerome L. Holub Bankruptcy project and our Peace of Mind Workshop.  Your responsibilities will likely include; reviewing bankruptcy applications, follow up information gathering phone calls, meeting with clients for fee and document collection meetings and reviewing creditor reports. We are asking for a commitment of 3-5 hours a week, once week.  Our offices are open Monday through Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate evening or weekend volunteering.
Please email Carla Boyle Small at cboylesmall@communitylegalaid.org if you are interested. Thanks!

*Expungement Clinic Seeking Student Volunteers*

The Expungement Clinic helps low-income Summit County residents seal the record of their criminal convictions.  A sealed record enables many people better access to jobs, housing, and volunteer opportunities.  Students will learn integral skills in the legal field including record searches, reading court dockets, completing applications to file with the court, and interviewing real clients.
