Ashby Thelen Lowry Legal Scholarship

Ashby Thelen Lowry is pleased to announce their annual scholarship available to students anticipating attending school in the fall of 2024 as either a pre-law undergraduate or first-year law students. The $1,000 scholarship is intended to help defray expenses for students that have been accepted into a school anywhere in the United States.

Eligible applicants must:

  1. Hold a minimum 3.0 GPA
  2. The recipient is a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the United States
  3. The recipient is accepted and will either be attending school as a pre-law undergraduate or entering law school in the fall of 2024

Requirements:

Applicants must submit the following by February 15th, 2025:

  1. A completed resume
  2. One to three (1-3) page typed essay on the topic of students choice related to the area of law they intend to pursue
  3. A complete copy of schools transcripts
  4. An acceptance letter from a school within the United States
  5. Proof of legal residency in the U.S. (i.e., birth certificate, passport, permanent resident card, etc.- social security cards will not be accepted.)

Award:

The $1,000 scholarship award will be made payable directly to the student in the form of a check and is designed to be used for educational expenses only.

Deadline:

Applications for Ashby Thelen Lowry Legal Scholarship must be received no later than the end of the day on February 15th, 2025 to be considered for the award.

Fawell & Fawell Out-of-State Student Scholarship

At Fawell & Fawell, we understand the issues that affect students who travel to other states to attend college, and we have created a scholarship program to provide assistance for these students. Through the Fawell & Fawell Out-of-State Student Scholarship, we award $1,000 each semester to a qualified student who will be pursuing educational opportunities in a location outside of the state where they attended high school or where their parents currently live. Scholarship winners can use this money to pay for tuition, housing, other educational costs, or transportation-related expenses.

Who is Eligible? To apply for the scholarship, a student must:
*Be enrolled in or have been accepted to a college or university that is located in a state where they did not attend high school or a state other than where their parents currently live.
*Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher as of the most recent academic semester they have completed.
*Be above the age of 17.
*Be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

Deadline for the Spring 2025 semester is February 19, 2025.

The Blossom Law Caregiver Scholarship

In honor of his mother, Bobbie Blossom, who was a caregiver for his father, Rashad established The Blossom Law Caregiver Scholarship in 2022 to offer financial relief to students who have a parent who has been the primary caregiver for a loved one or who have served as caregivers themselves. Twice a year, Blossom Law offers college students the opportunity to receive $1,000 through the Blossom Law Caregiver Scholarship. The award may be used to supplement the costs of tuition, room and board, and other educational expenses.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Before submitting your application for the Blossom Law Caregiver Scholarship, please make sure that you meet the following criteria:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You are enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university
  • You are a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • You earned a 3.0 grade point average or higher in your most recently completed semester

Hollingsworth Law Firm Legal Scholarship

Hollingsworth Law Firm is proud to offer the Legal Scholarship. This $1,000 annual scholarship is designed to help defray the cost of education and related expenses and will be awarded to a student who has demonstrated academic achievement, moral decency, and legal aptitude. The Hollingsworth Law Firm Legal Scholarship recipient must be a US citizen, accepted to and attending an accredited undergraduate or law school.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Citizens of the United States, or legal residents who are authorized to work
  • Accepted into a U.S. university as a pre-law undergraduate or attending law school
  • Planning to enroll in courses during Fall 2025
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA

Requirements:

As a part of the application process, interested students must submit the following by February 28, 2025:

  • Resume
  • 1-3 page typed essay on the subject matter related to the area of law you intend to pursue
  • A complete copy of school transcripts
  • Proof of acceptance from a U.S. school

Award:

The scholarship award winner will be selected on the last week of February 2025, and notification of the winning student will follow. The $1000 will be issued in the form of a check made payable to the student, to be used for tuition or related educational expenses only.

Broslavsky & Weinman, LLP ESSAY CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES:

  1. Eligibility: The contest is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (and the District of Columbia), Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  2. Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in this Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s and Host’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to this Contest.
  3. Timing: The Contest begins on at February 2nd, 2024 9:00 AM PST and ends on December 14th, 2024 12:00 PM PST.
  4. How to Enter : During the Contest Period, you can enter at: www.bwcounsel.com/scholarship. Then, follow the directions to fill out the form and upload the essay.
    Essay (3 pages or less), entitled “How Social Media Impacts the Law” known as your submission (“Submission”).

Essay Guidelines:

  • The Submission must be in a Microsoft Word format
  • The Submission must not exceed 3 pages
  • The Submission’s description must be in English
  • The Submission cannot have been plagiarized
  • The Submission cannot have been submitted previously in a promotion of any kind or exhibited or displayed publicly through any means.

Prize:

One (1) $1,000 College Scholarship (terms and conditions apply). Approximate Retail Value: $1,000. Prize is non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided here in at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. Limit: One (1) scholarship per person.

Prize Awarding:

Potential winner will be notified by either email, mail or phone approximately 48 hours following the conclusion of the Contest Period. If a potential winner cannot be contacted or prize is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits the scholarship. If a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, the prize may be awarded to a runner-up, if any, at the sole discretion. Up to three (3) alternate winners may be determined, after which the applicable scholarship will remain un-awarded.

Acceptance of prize shall constitute and signify winner’s agreement and consent that sponsor may use the winner’s name and/or scholarship information in connection with the essay contest for promotional, advertising or other purposes.
