We are excited to announce the 2025 NBLSA Nelson Mandela Pre-Law Scholarship! This scholarship is a tribute to the legacy of Nelson Mandela and his dedication to justice and equality. We are proud to offer this scholarship to African-American college students/graduates planning to attend law school in the Fall of 2025, 2026, 2027, or 2028.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must submit a proposal (500-1000 words) answering the essay question:
  “As a future lawyer, how do you plan to leverage your legal education and skills to drive meaningful change and uplift marginalized communities?”
• A current resume
• A transcript from all institutions attended
• Proof of acceptance to law school for Fall 2025
• Documentation of community service, extracurricular activities, and future career plans
• Attendance at the NBLSA Pre-Law Symposium on March 14th, 2025, in Atlanta, GA

This $1,000 annual scholarship is designed to help defray the cost of education and related expenses and will be awarded to a student who has demonstrated academic achievement, moral decency, and legal aptitude. The Hollingsworth Law Firm Legal Scholarship recipient must be a US citizen, accepted to and attending an accredited undergraduate or law school.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Citizens of the United States, or legal residents who are authorized to work
• Accepted into a U.S. university as a pre-law undergraduate or attending law school
• Planning to enroll in courses during Fall 2025
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA
