Kanoski Bresney Stand Up to Distracted Driving Scholarship

Kanoski Bresney, our Central Illinois law firm, is offering five scholarship awards, each in the amount of $1,000, to support students throughout the U.S. who are starting or continuing their college or university education in the Spring 2025 semester. 

Who is Eligible to Apply?

You are eligible for the Kanoski Bresney Stand Up to Distracted Driving Scholarship if the following are true:


  • You are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited U.S. college or university, and your education will continue through at least the Spring 2025 semester.
  • OR
  • You are a high school senior who will be starting your college or university education in Spring 2025.
  • You are a U.S. citizen.
  • You have a current overall GPA of at least 3.0.

Each semester, our criminal defense firm offers college students the opportunity to be awarded $1,000 through the Magaña & Van Dyke Dominick Marsala Memorial Scholarship. Our team understands how difficult it can be to pursue personal interests outside of school and work, and we believe it is incredibly valuable to maintain such hobbies throughout your life, despite challenging transitions and busy schedules. Through the Magaña & Van Dyke Dominick Marsala Memorial Scholarship, our firm works to provide students with financial assistance to help them pursue their goals and passions.

Waddoups Law Personal Injury Attorneys Scholarship Opportunity

Waddoups Law Personal Injury Attorneys is excited to announce their annual scholarship for students planning to attend school in the fall of 2025 as either pre-law undergraduates or first-year law students. This $1,000 scholarship aims to help cover expenses for students accepted into a school anywhere in the United States.

Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.
Be accepted to and attending school as a pre-law undergraduate or entering law school in the fall of 2025.
Have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0.

Requirements:
Applicants must submit the following by September 15, 2025:
A completed resume.
A 1-3 page typed essay on a topic of their choice related to the area of law they intend to pursue.
A complete copy of their school transcripts.
An acceptance letter from a school within the United States.
Proof of legal residency in the U.S. (e.g., birth certificate, passport, permanent resident card; Social Security cards will not be accepted).

Award:
The scholarship must be used exclusively for school tuition and related expenses.
A check for $1,000 will be made payable directly to the award recipient to cover these expenses.
The recipient is expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.
The scholarship award recipient will be notified of the selection on or about September 28, 2025.
